organisations that you fund in the last year for which you have
independently audited accounts

Dear David,
I am writing to ask you for clarification regarding the financial year you
require salary information for.
Are you asking for financial year 2007-2008 or 2008 - 2009?

The list of organisations we fund is available on our website. Here is
the link:

Kind regards, Simon.

Dear Simon,

Thanks for your letter seeking clarification.

I would like the information in respect of the last year for which
you have independently audited accounts and for the previous year.

I presume you have accounts for the year ended in 2009 so I am
seeking 2008/09 AND 2007/08 in order that I can readily calculate
the percentage increase in the last year.

Yours sincerely,

David Pearson

Dear David,

The HE principal salaries for 07-08 and 08-09 financial years are attached
as an excel spreadsheet.

We do not hold the college principal salaries for 07-08 and 06-07 in
spreadsheet format but they are disclosed in their published accounts,
most of which are on the SFC website at the following link:

[1]http://www.sfc.ac.uk/effective_instituti...

The accounts for Motherwell, Newbattle Abbey, Shetland and Sabhal Mor
Ostaig don't feature on the website. Shetland and SMO don't
disclose principals' salaries in their returns to SFC. The figures for
Motherwell are £116k (07-08) and £106k (06-07) while the salary for
Newbattle Abbey is £52k for both years.

If you have any queries or complaints please contact me by reply.

Kind regards, Simon.
