Rubbish collection in Charlton

A Freedom of Information request to Greenwich Borough Council by Darryl Chamberlain

Currently overdue a response from Greenwich Borough Council. By law, the response had to be prompt but no later than 23 September 2008. They are 108 days late, you can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have two requests about rubbish collection in the Charlton area.
The first was originally sent in June, but appears to have been
mislaid, so I am resubmitting it.

1) I understand from reading the Charlton Average weblog -
http://charltonaverage.blogspot.com/2008...
- that some streets in Greenwich borough have been designated
"priority streets" in dealing with rubbish and recycling issues
following the introduction of the new collection system in January.
Would it be possible to see a list of these priority streets?

2) How often are Victoria Way and Wellington Gardens swept by
council street cleaners, and how often were they swept five years
ago?

Yours faithfully,

Darryl Chamberlain

Dear Sir or Madam,

I wrote to you on 26 August about rubbish collection in the
Charlton area, and have not had a response. By law, you should have
responded by 23 September.

I sent the FOI request via Whatdotheyknow.com, and others have been
able to use the service to get information from Greenwich Council,
so I do not see what the problem is here.

As a reminder, here is what I asked:

1) I understand from reading the Charlton Average weblog -
http://charltonaverage.blogspot.com/2008... - that some streets in
Greenwich borough have been designated "priority streets" in
dealing with rubbish and recycling issues following the
introduction of the new collection system in January. Would it be
possible to see a list of these priority streets?

2) How often are Victoria Way and Wellington Gardens swept by
council street cleaners, and how often were they swept five years
ago?

I look forward to a timely response.

Yours sincerely,

Darryl Chamberlain
