Dear Mr.Addison,
Thank you for your request.
It is not clear whether you are asking for all information concerning
the RSPB and DEFRA jointly or separately. Either way, without a subject
matter and time period, your request is currently very broadly worded.
Given the role of the House of Lords, it is also highly likely that the
information you are seeking is already published. For example, if the
matter has been referred to in the House, the information will be
published in the House of Lords Official Report and will be available at
www.parliament.uk. The information may have been published in a
Committee Report.
I suggest you search the parliamentary web site using the subject matter
rather than search under 'RSPB' and/or 'DEFRA'. A search on 'RSPB'
currently results in 199,000 hits and 'DEFRA' in 685,000 (House of Lords
and House of Commons).
I regret that I am unable to provide more detailed advice and assistance
without a clearer idea of the information you are seeking.
I hope this is helpful,
Frances Grey

Dear Mr. Addison,
The information you are requesting is not directly parliamentary in
nature. Having made further enquiries it is not clear why the House of
Lords administration would hold information on these subjects other than
that already published in connection with proceedings (for example, in the
Official Report (Hansard))and thereby reasonably accessible to you by
other means.
Without further information from you, the best guidance I can give to
assist you in directing your request to the right place is as follows:
The RSPB has a web site which may contain the information you are seeking
in relation to the RSPB's work. As far as funding by the Government is
concerned, I would suggest you contact the Government directly. Defra
would appear to be the relevant department. Contact details can be found
at [1]www.defra.gov.uk
If you are happy to discuss your request with me I can be contacted on 020
7219 0100.
