From: Guy Freeman
10 August 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
A man called Martin Day is pictured at
http://www.flickr.com/photos/ukinbahrain... in the "UK in
Bahrain"'s official Flickr photo gallery, with the caption stating
that he is the "Regional Arabic Spokesman for the Foreign Office".
He is also quoted at the end of an AFP report reprinted at
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/18/20090802/twl...
where he is described merely as a "diplomat".
Please supply me with information concerning the role that Martin
Day plays within the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Furthermore,
please supply me with a copy of the event diary for 2009 for Martin
Day in his official capacity. Lastly, please supply me with all
correspondence that the FCO or any of its constituent parts (e.g.
embassies) has had with Martin Day concerning the "projects aimed
at stopping settlement activity" that he is quoted as discussing in
the report linked to above.
I would prefer for this information to be sent by reply to the
email address I am writing from.
If you require further clarification of this request, please don't
hesitate to get in touch with me by replying to this email address.
I look forward to hearing from you promptly, as required by the
legislation, and in any case within 20 working days.
Yours faithfully,
Guy Freeman
