Dear Sir or Madam,
I would be grateful if you would confirm that you are the
responsible authority for the maintenance and upkeep of the
lighting fixtures along your boundary side the River Irwell (from
Regent Road through to and including near to Pomona Tram Station).
If not, who is?
If they are under the auspices of Salford Council responsibility,
can you also then indicate:
- How often they are checked to be in working order
- Number of reports of damaged/non-functioning lights in the last
year.
- The time it has taken to repair the lights
- Number of outstanding faults awaiting repair.
- Timescale for repairs
Yours faithfully,
Mr Knight

Dear Faulkner, Lynn,
Thank you for your acknowledgement letter dated 30 January 2009.
I am aware that under the Freedom of Information Act, that a
response to my request should have been made no later than the 24
February 2009. Unfortunately I don't seem to have received a
response from Salford Council, and as such would be, as I
understand, breaking the law.
I eagerly await your favourable and prompt response.
Yours sincerely,
Mr Knight
