Dear Sir or Madam,
I would like to know the following information please relating to
the policy and use of public on street parking payment machines in
the Harrogate borough.
1: When were the use of these machines initially discussed by the
council and at what meeting was the discussion held relating to the
use of public on street parking machines that give customers change
versus the benefits of deploying machines that do not give change.
2: Why was the decision made to use non-change machines against
machines that give change
2: Can you supply a copy of these minutes.
3: Over the past five years, year by year what has been the revenue
generated from on street parking based on ticket receipts?
4: Over the same period, year by year what additional revenue has
been generated by these machines over and above receipts i.e. by
not giving change?
5: Can you confirm who get this additional revenue i.e. the extra
change e.g. does this go to the council?
6: Can you confirm if this additional revenue through not giving
change is included as part of the over all budget figure
calculation used by Harrogate Borough Council
Yours faithfully,
Mark Waldron
