Dear Ms Dixon,

I refer to your response to my FoI request ref FOI126329.

You say that the plans for the restoration of Brockwell Park can be
found on the Friends of Brockwell Park web-site. The documents you
refer to are "proposals" dated Dec 2007. Please confirm that there
have been no material changes to the plans for the restoration of
the park since these documents were published.

If it is the case that you confirm there have been no material
changes to the planned restoration, please provide reasons for the
delay between the award of the HLF grant (in July 2008) and the
fact that work will not begin on-site until "autumn" 2010 - a
period of more than two years.

Yours faithfully,

C Rodger

Dear Mr Roger,

Freedom of Information 126329 clarification and further information
requested

With regard to your request for clarification and further information
on the restoration of Brockwell Park, please be advised that there
have been no material changes to the proposals available on the
Friends of Brockwell Park website since these were published.

Regarding the timetable and the reasons for the delay in works
starting, this has been caused by the need under Lambeth and European
Union procurement regulations to re-tender the lead consultant
services contract. This is a complex process and took over a year to
complete.

Following the appointment of the lead consultant in late 2009 the
preparation of tender packages and tendering of the main works is now
underway. As mentioned in the previous response, it is expected that
a contractor will be appointed towards the end of 2010 with works
commencing on site in January 2011.

If you are dissatisfied with the way in which your Freedom of
Information request has been dealt with you can request an internal
review by emailing: [1][email address] (Please quote the
reference number above) or by writing to:

Corporate Complaints Manager
