Thank you for your request for information, which was received on 27
October. You requested specific information relating to the GovernorNet
website, namely:
i) Which department within the DCSF controls and maintains the website?
ii) Who are the appointed 'moderators' of the website?
iii) What rules, regulations or policy does the DSCF produce or issue in
relation to the operation, monitoring, control and censorship of the
website to the moderators?
I have dealt with your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
The requested information is below information is outlined below below.
i) The Communications Directorate within the DCSF is responsible for
maintaining the GovernorNet website.
ii) The moderation of the website's discussion board is subcontracted to
Scroll LLP.
iii) The discussion boards are moderated in accordance with the discussion
board rules as set out on the board's rubric:

Both the moderators and forum users work to these same, transparent
guidelines.
