Dear Sir or Madam,
Can you tell me what the overall running cost of the current West
Midlands Fire Service Head Quarters are including heating,
lighting, taxation and or outstanding loan repayments if any.
Can you include figures for the last financial year, 2007-2008 and
projected figures for the next 3 years for this request.
In addition to this, what has been the cost of the Fire Service
board for the last 3 financial years (2007-2008, 2006-2007,
2005-2006) and the projected cost for this year (2008-2009) and the
subsequent two years.

I apologise for the delay in responding to this request. I am writing to
confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search
for the information you requested regarding running costs for the West
Midlands Fire Service Headquarters.
I am pleased to provide details of the information you have requested.
There will be no charge for this set of information.
Can you tell me what the overall running cost of the current West
Midlands Fire Service Head Quarters are including heating,
lighting, taxation and or outstanding loan repayments if any.
Can you include figures for the last financial year, 2007-2008 and
projected figures for the next 3 years for this request.
Running Costs
Please find set out below the total running costs for the Headquarters and
Safeside buildings for 2007-08 and the next three years (2007/2008 &
2008/2009 actual; 2009/2010 & 2010/2011 estimated):

It should be noted that the largest individual cost within the above
figures relates to the Business Rates of the combined site. An appeal is
currently being considered regarding the scale of this cost.
In addition to this, what has been the cost of the Fire Service
board for the last 3 financial years (2007-2008, 2006-2007,
2005-2006) and the projected cost for this year (2008-2009) and the
subsequent two years.
Fire Service Board
The request asked for the cost of the Fire Service Board. It has been
assumed that given the initial question related to the running costs of
the new Headquarters site that the reference to the Fire Service is
seeking to establish the dedicated project team costs associated with the
HQ and Safeside project. The table below sets out the actual (2005/2006
to 2008/2009) and estimated (2009/2010 & 2010/2011) costs relating to the
dedicated project team.
