The request was partially successful.
From: Richard Taylor
9 March 2009
In response to a Parliamentary written question asked by Jenny
Tonge on the 4th of March 2009 Health Minister Mr Darzi stated
that:
"The department has commissioned additional research on the removal
of Clostridium difficile spores from laundry. The results of this
research will, if necessary, shape aspects of the guidance." (1)
In light of this answer could you please release:
i / details of who has been awarded the contract / research grant
to carry out this research.
ii/ the research protocol to be followed, along with details of any
research proposals rejected.
I would also like to know if the research was commissioned
following an open call for proposals or similar process, and if
not, why not.
