Refusal to allow a council meeting question

Sheila Oliver (Account suspended) made this Freedom of Information request to Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council

The request was refused by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council.

From: Sheila Oliver (Account suspended)

28 February 2010

Dear Stockport Borough Council,

On February 25th 2010 at the full Council meeting, Mr. Parnell,
whom the Council erroneously accused of the 'offence' of a sneeze
and caused him to be repeatedly sent to prison, again tried to ask
a council meeting question and was yet again refused. I think the
question he tried to ask was something like - Does Stockport
Council regret the trauma and distress caused to me and my family
by their actions with resulted in my being sent to prison for an
offence which did not even happen? Were in in his shoes I think I
would have been a lot more forthright than that. Which council
official or councillor refused him permission to ask that question?
Was it the Chief Executive - John Schulz, The Council Solicitor -
Barry Khan, The Leader - Councillor Dave Goddard, the Deputy Leader
- Sue Derbyshire or was it Councillor Weldon, Executive Councillor
for Children and Young People's Directorate?

Kind regards

Yours faithfully,

Sheila Oliver
