The results of the consultation concerning Campkin Road were put before
the North Area Committee on 12 November 2009. The report containing the

I attended the North Area Committee meeting mentioned in the response and spoke in favour of saving the trees.

I asked if it was beyond the wit of man to both save the trees and create a smooth surface. Councillors clearly thought such a resolution was at least beyond their capabilities and ordered the felling.

I think the consultations were flawed; the most sensible course of action (in my view) wasn't given as an option. For more see my article on this subject at:
