Dear Sir or Madam,
On 14th September 2009 the Home Office announced that it had
appointed an "Identity Commissioner" under the terms of the
Identity Cards Act 2006.
Please tell me:
1. How much money was spent on recruitment consultants and
advertising to find applicants for this post.
2. On how many dates advertisements for the post were published,
and in which newspapers.
3. Apart from newspapers, what other advertising channels were
used.
3. How many people completed applications for the post.
4. How many applicants for the post were interviewed.
Note that I am seeking information about the recruitment process,
and not any information whatsoever about the individual applicants.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Watson

Dear Home Office,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Home Office's
handling of my FOI request 'Recruitment process for Identity
Commissioner', reference 13416/09.
In my request, I asked "How many applicants for the post were
interviewed". However, Nicola Westmore chose to answer a different
question, and merely told me that "6 people were selected to be
interviewed for the post". I did not ask how many people were
"selected to be interviewed", I asked how many were actually
interviewed. Please supply the answer to the question I asked.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is
available on the Internet at this address:

Yours faithfully,
Andrew Watson
