David Martin made this Freedom of Information request to Avon and Somerset Constabulary

From: David Martin
20 August 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
For the financial years 2004/05, 2005/06, 2006/07, 2007/08 and
2008/09 how many racist incidents, occurring in the Thornbury &
Alveston beat area, were reported to the police? Of these, what was
the detection rate?
In or around the summer of 1995, the Mogul Shamrat Restaurant, 8
High Street, Thornbury BS35 2AQ was subjected to a racist attack,
involving breaking of windows from outside and intimidation of
customers within the premises. According to the report of the
incident how many people took part in the attack, were any arrests
made, and how many people were convicted as a result of the
offence?
Yours faithfully,
David Martin
