** High Priority **
Dear Mr Sharif
In response to your request we attach our Single Equality Scheme and Race Equality Scheme documents and confirm the following:
Our SES and RES documents outline our distinctive characteristics, including data on our performance as well as our approach to conducting impact assessments.
Each HR policy is impact assessed across all the diversity strands, including Race.
Similarly all relevant Student policies are assessed across all diversity strands, including Race.
The procedure is for an Initial Impact Assessment to be conducted to determine whether there could be any adverse effects on any group of individuals. If it is determined there could be a differential impact, a Full Impact Assessment is conducted and any outcomes identified within the relevant Equality Scheme Action Plan. As policies are updated and reviewed, as necessary amendments are made.
In respect of the outcomes of the impact assessments for staff grievance and disciplinary policies, including Race, the impact assessments are attached. The impact assessments for relevant student related policies are also attached, including the previous detailed impact assessment for our Admissions policy and the draft interim results of our most recent impact assessment for Admissions. This will be used to inform the next review of our policy.
We trust this information helps.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you require any further assistance.
Yours sincerely,
Lisa Cobain
