Dear Sir or Madam,

Under the freedom of information act 2000

Please can you provide me with the following information -

1. What is the average distance from residential address to school
for pupils admitted to Northampton School for Boys over the past 3
years.

2. What is the maximum distance from residential address to school
for pupils admitted to Northampton School for Boys over the past 3
years.

I believe this information should be available from the LEA without
in any way compromising privacy of personal information.

Your help in this matter is most appreciated.

Dear Freedom of Information,

Thank you very much for your response.

Please could you clarify your response regarding the following
matter. I fully understand that Northamptonshire LEA is not the
admissions body for the school, however the LEA does act as a
conduit of information regarding the allocation of school places to
parents applying to NSB as much as any other school in the county.

Therefore, could you please clarify whether you never had the
information or whether it is not information you retain.

In clarification of the questions asked in the e mail below:-

I can confirm that NCC has never held the information and therefore it is not information which we have retained.

Indeed I believe that the school itself would not have the distances as although they collect postal codes of children attending the school it is not in relation to distances measured.
