Dear Ministry of Justice,
It has come to my attention, that, much like Police Constables,
Judges and Magistrates (and other officers of the various courts)
take an oath of office, presumably of public service.
I would be obliged to know:
1. What these (various) oaths of office are (in each case) and
2. Where the public records concerning such oaths by individuals
may be accessed.
Yours faithfully,
Brian of the Adamson family (neither Sir, Mr or any other
appellation, but a living, breathing, sovereign being)

Dear Hiden, Geoff, (may I call you Geoff)
First of all, many thanks for your reply, but please do not refer
to me as Mr, Sir or an other appellation that I have asked you to
avoid. I do not claim or deserve such titles, and am simply known
as Brian.
That said, I thank you for your response of 14th August, which was
most informative, if not complete.
In it, you said
"In regard to part two of your request I am not certain what you
mean by “where the public records concerning such oaths by
individuals may be accessed”. The fact that someone has been sworn
in is not secret, but arrangements for recording the event are a
matter for each court, and differ from court to court. Such records
usually form part of an individual's personal record and it should
be noted that if you were to request this information it would
likely be refused under Section 40, personal information, of the
FOIA. "
However, what I am referring to (and requesting) is information
regarding PUBLIC officials in relation to their PUBLIC duties. I
cannot comprehend why this information would be considered private.
I am simply seeking to ascertain the validity of any individual who
claims to be qualified (and/or appointed) to exercise their
judgement over me (or my person) or anyone else and do not think it
is excessive to require that such claim be verifiable.
After all, if someone is claiming to be able to pass judgement on
some other individual, should they not be able to show that they
have agreed to do so impartially and in accordance with the law?
There must be some public record of this, and that is what I am
requesting - where do I find this information regarding any
particular officer of a "court"?
After all, such public servants are responsible to the PUBLIC and
not just some nameless and faceless corporation, n'est-pas?
Yours sincerely,
Brian of the Adamson family
