Under the Freedom of Information Act you should have replied by 5
Feb 2009 to my request, and are breaking the law by not having done
so.

I am writing to request an internal review of Office for National
Statistics's handling of my FOI request 'PSE latest figures by
region, country, % of population'.

Dear Mr Trice,

Thank you for your recent Freedom of Information request.

The attached table provides the information you have requested. It contains
the Level of Public Sector Employment for the 4 quarters to December 2006,
the mid year resident population for 2006 and PSE expressed as a percentage
this population level for each Government Office region and country. PSE as
a percentage of resident population were published in a chart in an article
entitled 'Regional Analysis of Public Sector Employment' in July 2008 and
the web-link to this article is as follows:

. These are the latest regional public sector employment statistics
available.
