Prosecutions on M1 through Nottinghamshire

RVWalker made this Freedom of Information request to Highways Agency

The request was successful.

From: RVWalker

6 February 2010

Dear Highways Agency,

Driving at 50 mph through the 50 mph limited work areas on the M1
Motorway I find myself being overtaken by nearly every other
vehicle.

How many prosecutions for exceeding the 50 mph limit through
Nottinghamshire are there on an average week?

Yours faithfully,

Ronald V Walker.

Yours faithfully,

RVWalker

Dear Mr Walker

Thank you for your e-mail to the Highways Agency Information Line.

Please see the attached letter.

The Highways Agency is responsible for the maintenance and stewardship of the motorway network and major trunk roads in England. The Highways Agency is not a law enforcement agency and as such, I feel this request will be better responded to by Nottinghamshire Police.

I have forwarded this request to Nottinghamshire Police. I have also attached my correspondence with them, for your information.

I hope this is of assistance to you.

Kind regards
