From: Tony Brooks
2 November 2009
Dear Sir or Madam,
On 14th October the Minister of Health stated in Parliament: "The
Department meets the CNHC regularly to discuss progress."
Since the department's continued funding of the CNHC is said to be
dependent on the progress being made, the outcome of these
discussions are clearly of public interest.
I naturally assumed that these meetings would have dealt with the
important matter of the CNHC's progress, so I made a request for
whatever was recorded at these meetings.
The reply from the DH stated that one meeting has taken place in
the last six months and gave some notes on this meeting. No
information was provided about the CNHC's progress and apparently
this is reported regularly but not discussed at any meetings.
Therefore, will you please send me copies of all reports sent to
the DH by the CNHC in the last six months.
Yours faithfully,
Tony Brooks
