Dear Nicola, Thank you for your e-mail.

East Cambridgeshire District Council has a small property holding and the maintenance and repair work is managed in-house by the Council's Facilities Management service.

The Council has a Quantity Surveyor and a small team of maintenance staff and therefore does not have a framework agreement for construction services or contractors in place. That said if we need to procure construction services or contractors we would follow the Council's contract procedure rules and seek written quotations or tenders depending on the costs.

If you disagree with the decision or are otherwise unhappy with how we have dealt with your request in the first instance you may contact me again, and I will arrange for someone to review my decision. Should you remain dissatisfied with the outcome you have a right under s50 of the Freedom of Information Act to appeal against the decision by contacting the Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow SK9 5AF.

Regards, Keith Stronach
