Procurement of Contractors and Construction Consultancy Services

1. How you procure Construction Consultancy Services

The Council procured a variety if consultant services (8 professions)
through a 5 year partnering contract, this contract expired in May
2010. The Council is currently reviewing how these services can be
procured and a variety of options are being considered including
procuring services on a project by project basis under the Councils
procurement code, utilising an existing framework i.e. IESE or
retendering the partnering contract.

2. How you procure Construction Contractors

This is dependant on the actual build cost, however the Council
procures its contractors through a variety of options including using
the Councils own procurement code process for competitive tendering
and utilising existing framework contracts

3. If by your own framework, please tell me:

a. The titles and content of the relevant frameworks
b. Who is on the current frameworks
c. The start and end dates of the frameworks
d. Any possible extension periods to the frameworks
e. The name and contact email of person responsible for the
frameworks.

The Council currently has no direct framework contracts
