Dear Nicola

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST REF: 2010-394

I am responding to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000,
which we received on 16 June 2010 for information held by the Council. You
requested:

1. How you procure Construction Consultancy Services

The Council has a Construction Professional Services Framework Agreement
that is used where the total value of the project (not the value of the
consultancy fees) is under £750,000. Requirements that cannot be provided
by any of the companies on the Framework Agreement, or where the value of
the project is over £750k, are exposed to competition following the
publication of a contract notice on the Council's Buyer Profile, and in
relevant trade journals or in the Official Journal of the European Union
depending upon the value of the contract.

2. How you procure Construction Contractors

The Council advertises opportunities to tender for construction work on
its Buyer Profile, and relevant trade journals or in the Official Journal
of the European Union, depending upon the value of the contract.
Constructionline is used as an Approved List where appropriate however
there are no other Approved Lists used for construction works. The Council
also considers the use of framework agreements that have been let by other
organisations, where it is entitled to do so.

3. If by your own framework, please tell me:

a. The titles and content of the relevant frameworks

The framework title is: Construction Professional Services Framework
Agreement. Under the Framework Agreement there are lots for Architectural
Services, Quantity Surveying Services, Landscape Architectural Services,
Building Surveying Services and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering
Services.

b. Who is on the current frameworks

Please see attached details.

c. The start and end dates of the frameworks

October 2008 to September 2012.

d. Any possible extension periods to the frameworks

The framework was let for a 4 year period, which is the maximum period
allowed for framework agreements.

e. The name and contact email of person responsible for the frameworks.

This is currently under review.
