Dear Mr Farnet,
Freedom of Information Act Request ref: 810002876
Thank you for your request for information received on 30 July, in which
you asked for the following information:
for each FOI received since the FOI Act became law, please list:
date of request
date of reply
reference number/ID
subject/title of the request [each request on the list should include
the subject/title of the request please]
status [whether information was fully released, partially released or
withheld]
Please see attached excel spreadsheet providing the information recorded.
Please note that we changed the database used for recording FOI requests
in May 2008. Information prior to that date is not as comprehensive as
that since, as the information was migrated from the previous database.
This means that many of the cases have the category - outcomes
unassigned. To identify the outcome of those cases each case would need
to be opened on the database and the response letter or e-mail located and
read through to enable the outcome to be identified. The `outcome' field
could then be completed and the report extracting the information run
again.
From our consideration of your request, we have estimated that it will
cost more than the `appropriate limit' to fully respond to your request
and we are therefore issuing a Fees Notice in this respect.
Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act allows public authorities to
refuse requests for information where the cost of dealing with them would
exceed the appropriate limit, which for local government is set at £450.
This represents the estimated cost of one person spending 18 hours in
determining whether the department holds the information, locating,
retrieving and extracting the information. As there are 1,874 records
which would need updating, at an estimated time of (at least) 5 minutes
per record we estimate that this exercise would take at least156 hours.
Therefore we have estimated that it will cost £3,904 to provide you with
the missing information. Consequently we are not obliged by the Freedom
of Information Act to respond to your request. However, we are still
happy to deal with your request if you pay the fee as set out in this
notice.
If you would like to proceed with this part of the request, please contact
the Feedback and Information team (details below) to arrange payment.
If you have any further queries, or are unhappy with how we have dealt
with your request and wish to make a complaint, please contact the
Feedback and Information Team as below.
