Preparations for a non-CoE Prime Minister

Gavin Whenman made this Freedom of Information request to Cabinet Office

Cabinet Office did not have the information requested.

From: Gavin Whenman

25 June 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

My Freedom of Information request relates to HM Government's
response should an MP who is not Christian become able to a command
a majority in the House of Commons.

a. In 2003/2004, did the Cabinet Office draw up or revise any
documents relating to the Monarch's position as defender of the
faith should a person who is not a member of any Christian
Protestant denomination become able to command a majority in the
House of Commons?

b. If the Cabinet Office did draw up or revise such documents in
2003/04, could they please be released under the Freedom of
Information Act.

Yours faithfully,

Gavin Whenman
