This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

Please provide me with a list of every postcode currently in use.
Since I am not asking for location information about these
postcodes, they are presumably not exempted on the same grounds as
the Postcode Address File would be.

This request is somewhat moot now, since the Ordnance Survey has released Code-Point Open:
http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsit...

Not only does this dataset contain all the postcodes, but it also includes geographic coordinates.
