Possible hacking of Spending Challenge site

J. Mendel made this Freedom of Information request to Her Majesty’s Treasury

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Her Majesty’s Treasury should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Her Majesty's Treasury,

It appears that the Spending Challenge site may have been hacked -
the type of redirections which were briefly in place on the site
certainly suggest this. I am therefore making a FOIA request for
the following information:
- Has there been an incident or incidents of unauthorised access to
and/or changes to the site? If so, what was the nature of the
incident/s and was user or staff information compromised? If user
or staff information was compromised, please detail the ways in
which it has been compromised.
- I would like a copy of the specifications for the security
aspects of site and the measures taken to prevent spam & hacking. I
would also like a copy of all documents where these specifications
are discussed.
- If there has been unauthorised access to and/or changes to the
site, have measures since been taken to improve security? If so,
what were the staff and other costs to do so?

Yours faithfully,

Dr J. Mendel
