Policy change

mark price made this Freedom of Information request to Lambeth Borough Council

The request was successful.

From: mark price

26 January 2010

Dear Lambeth Borough Council,

In response to an earlier FOI request Sean Richings wrote "Lambeth
does not operate a 'homeless at home' policy".

Lambeth did do so in the fairly recent past. When did this policy
change and where can I find the document that supports the change?

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Mark Price

Dear Mr Price,

Thank you for your FOI request. I apologise for the delay in responding to
you

We do not operate a formal "Homeless at Home" policy and are not aware
that the Council has ever had one. "Homeless at Home" is a label which is
generally recognised and applied to circumstances where for some
households temporary accommodation may be considered inappropriate for a
variety of reasons. In cases where this may apply, and the Council has or
is likely to accept a full duty under Part VII of 1996 Housing Act, then
an agreement is made with the relevant parties that they can remain
"homeless at home" until the Council fully discharges it's duty. Cases of
this nature are considered on an individual basis.

If you are dissatisfied with the way in which your Freedom of Information
request has been dealt with you can request an internal review by
emailing: [1][email address] (Please quote the reference number
above) or by writing to:

If you remain dissatisfied with the outcome of the review you have a

implementation of the Freedom of Information Act. The Commissioner can be
