Policies for anti-social behaviour
Alison Hammond made this Freedom of Information request to Harrogate Borough Council
The request was partially successful.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I would be very grateful to be provided with information on
Harrogate Borough Council’s policies for anti-social behaviour as
pertains to council property and social housing tenants.
I am a concerned community member in Bilton and worried by the
Council’s and Head of Housing apparent lack of action over the
anti-social behaviour such as foul language, littering, drug
dealing, intimidation and noise coming from a neighbouring
property.
Yours faithfully,
Alison Hammond

Dear Harrogate Borough Council,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Harrogate Borough
Council's handling of my FOI request 'Policies for anti-social
behaviour'.
I made this request and another request around consultation some
time ago. The Head of Housing has successfully responded to my
other request and I am satisfied with the response. However, this
request on policies is still outstanding and I am still interested
to understand more about Harrogate Borough Council's attitude and
responses to anti-social behaviours in our community.

Hi Alison
I now have some further information for you in connection with your request.
Housing have now confirmed that they are currently reviewing their Anti Social Behaviour Policy but the current policy is on the Council's website and as such is outside the scope of FOI. Please see www.harrogate.gov.uk/immediacy-2668. The contact for the review is Noel Duke in Housing.
The Council's Safer Communities Co ordinator has also provided the following comments :-
"The Harrogate District Safer Communities Partnership arranges Multi Agency Problem Solving Meetings which uses problem solving to tackle the more serious cases that single agencies can not solve alone. Other ASB cases are normally dealt with by the Safer Neighbourhood meetings that allow residents to bring up local issues for agencies to respond to. NY Police normally lead on this but HBC should be more involved in the future.
We are currently developing a minimum standard for dealing with ASB across North Yorkshire, but it is not available as yet."
I hope that you now have the information you require but if you are still not happy please let me know .
Thanks
