Dear Sir or Madam,
It has been reported that several ballot boxes had their seals broken overnight while awaiting counting and held in cardboard boxes with no police guard, during the recent London elections. The police have indicated that they see nothing amiss in this. Can you confirm that the Home Office will be make this an imperative for the Metropolitan Police to pursue their duty in this regard and make the necessary serious investigations.
Can you also explain why the police are allowed to take this dismissive line of action and how you intend to make them do their job in future.
Yours faithfully,
Nicholas K. Chance
