Police Injury Pensions
A Freedom of Information request to Sussex Police by Paul Styles
The request was successful.

19 April 2009
Dear Sussex Police,
I am seeking information relating to police injury pensions,
resulting from a meeting of the National Attendance Management
Forum.
A meeting of this body was held at the West Midlands Police
training centre on the 9th of April 2002. Eric Griffiths, who was
identified as the HRO - HSWU of Sussex Police, attended it.
The minutes of that meeting state, ‘Eric Griffiths advised that
Sussex are considering cessation of the allowance when officers
reach the age of 55 (60 for Inspectors).’
It is clear from the context that Mr. Griffiths was referring to
police injury pensions.
Please supply me with copies of any documents that relate to that
assertion. In particular I am interested in any reports, memoranda,
minutes of meetings, letters, emails, notes and all and any other
documents that show the considerations of Sussex Police concerning
cessation of injury pensions at any age.
Documents can be supplied in any standard digital format.
Yours faithfully,
Paul Styles
