Dear Cleveland Police,

I am writing to make an open government request for all the
information to which I am entitled under the Freedom Of Information
Act. In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my
query as specifically as possible. If however this request is too
wide or too unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me,
as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and
assist requesters.

I would like a copy of any and all documents that state and/or
illustrate/set out the policy and procedures of Cleveland Police
concerning the management and review of police injury award
pensions.

I understand that under the Act, I should be entitled to a response
within 20 working days. I would be grateful if you could confirm in
writing that you have received this request. I look forward to
hearing from you in the near future.

Your response should be in the form of a reply by email, with the
copy document(s) attached in any standard digital format.

I acknowledge receipt of your enquiry dated 27th January 2009 and received by Cleveland police the same day requesting information concerning management and review of police injury award pensions.

As set out by the Freedom of Information Act it will be our aim to respond to your request by 24 February 2009. In some cases, however, we may be unable to achieve this deadline. If this occurs we will advise you of the likely timescale within which the response will be provided.

Enquiry Ref : 2009/1490

I enclose our response to your request for information dated 27 January 2009 concerning policyand proceduresfor management and review of injury award pensions.

Cleveland Police in complying with their statutory duty under sections 1 and 11 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to release information will not breach the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. However, the rights of the copyright owner will continue to be protected by law. Applications for the copyright owner's written permission to reproduce any part of the disclosed information should be addressed to The Force Solicitor, Cleveland Police Headquarters, PO Box 70, Ladgate Lane, Middlesbrough, Cleveland, TS8 9EH.

If you are not satisfied with this response or any actions taken in dealing with your request you have the right to request that we review your case under our review procedure. If you decide to request that such a review is undertaken and following this process you are still dissatisfied you then have the right to direct your complaint to the Information Commissioner for consideration.
