Dear Mr Gilmour
I am writing in reply to your enquiry of 3 July.
The Royal Mint produces all United Kingdom coins but it has no involvement with the printing of banknotes, which is the responsibility of the Bank of England. If you make a direct approach to the Bank [www.bankofengland.co.uk], I am sure they will be happy to consider your request.
Yours sincerely
Joseph Payne
