Dear Swindon Borough Council,

unorthorized development/breaches of planning permission from 1
January 2005 to 31 March 2010?

development/breaches of planning permission were made in the same
period?
3. How many of these complaints were determined and how many remain
undetermined?
Please can you supply the figures for question 2. "How many

I believe that the figures you have supplied relate only to cases
that SBC has determined were breaches/unorthorised development.

Dear Ms. Lacey,
You requested clarification in respect of question 2 of your request. I
have received the following response from The Planning Enforcement team.
The figures supplied in relation to question 2 reflect the total number of
complaints received concerning alleged breaches of unauthorised
development or breaches of planning consent and are not specific to those
where the complaint was founded. We did not include other types of
investigation or breaches of planning control such as listed building
offences, unlawful display of advertisements or changes of use as they do
not fall into the categories stated in your question.
We are unable to provide a breakdown of the ratio of complaints that were
founded to those that were unfounded without a considerable amount of time
and cost which would be chargeable as per regulations laid down in the FOI
Act 2000.
Regards
Ceri
