Dear Mr Smith,

Thank you for your recent Freedom of information request, replicated
below with the appropriate response.

I would like to request some information on planning decisions made
over the last 5 years.
Specifically:

1) A referenced list of planning decisions taken by committee where a
committee member has declared a conflict of interest, including name of
said member and reasons given.
I have checked with the council's Democratic Services Team and there is
no list as described above, so unfortunately in this instance we are
unable to provide this information to you. It is also estimated that it
would take far beyond the appropriate limit (18 hours of officer time)
to compile. This is in accordance with Regulation 5 (2) (b) of the
Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees)
Regulations 2004 (Statutory Instrument No 3244). If there are
particular committees you are interested in you should be able to view
the minutes etc of those meeting(s) via the councils website :
http://www.bristol.gov.uk/ccm/navigation... and
selecting Committee Meeting Viewer.

2) A list of planning decisions taken by committee that have been
against recommendation by planning officers.
3) A list of planning decisions taken by committee that have been
against recommendation by planning officers subsequently having been
appealed or the subject of legal action against the council and the
outcomes thereof.

Please see the attached spreadsheet showing the planning application
number, the decision date, the planning officers recommendation, the
decision by the planning committee and the appeal decision where
applicable.

Information on any individual case is either available via the councils
website
http://www.bristol.gov.uk/ccm/content/En...
or by making an appointment to view the file in person at Brunel House
by telephoning 0117 9223000.

This response should answer your request in full, however if you are
not satisfied with this response or wish to lodge an appeal against any
exemptions that may have been applied, you can do so by writing to the
Data Protection Officer at Bristol City Council Legal Services, The
Council House, College Green, Bristol, BS99 7PH or [Bristol City Council request email].
Details of the complaints procedure can be found at
http://www.bristol.gov.uk/complaints.

If, after you have exhausted the council’s complaints procedure, you
are still not satisfied with the response you have received you have the
right to complain to the Information Commissioner, details of your right
to complain can be found at http://www.ico.gov.uk/complaints.aspx
