Dear Matt
Thank you for your further e-mail. I can advise that Planning
applications can only be retrieved by name from our system.
Consequently, we cannot search for the information you require by change
of use from A1. This is the reason we can provide an answer to 3) as
you requested information by name (Starbucks).
I hope that clarifies your query.
Kind regards
Ann Bedford

Dear Ann,
Thanks for the reply. Might it be possible to produce an extract of
the planning data for this period? My day job involves a fair bit
of data crunching, and providing there are text fields featuring
the proposal or similar, I should be able to establish answers for
1 and 2 from the data.
Yours sincerely,
Matt White

Dear Alison,
Sorry to keep asking around this, but could you let me know how
your planning records are stored? I find it hard to believe that
any electronic system would only be able to search by name.

10 August 2009
Dear Matt
With regard to your further two e-mails of 5th August 2009 about how our
Planning records are stored, I have sought further advice from Chris Doy,
Development Control Manager, and he confirms that records can be retrieved
by name, application number or property.
In relation to your request to have an extract of Planning data, I have
been informed that this information is publicly available from our website
and is therefore exempt for release under the Freedom of Information Act
2004, (Section 21).
This information can be found at the Council's website at
[1]http://www.bolsover.gov.uk/default.aspx?... , please click to
'accept' the terms and conditions on this web page, then go into
'Application Search' on the menu bar to the left.
You can then perform a search for all applications by entering the year
and application number, for example 08/000.
000 relates to the first ninety-nine applications, 001 to the next
hundred, 002 to the next and so on, for all applications in that year.
You can also search for retrospective applications in 'Application Type'
by scrolling down to 'Retrospective Planning Applications'.
I hope that this information is helpful to you.
Kind regards
