Dear Sir/Madam,
Please treat this as a request under the Freedom of Information Act
2000.
Do you hold electronic, hi-resolution photographs of all your
ministers? (Perhaps the ones on their security-passes?)
If 'yes', under what circumstances would you consider releasing any
or all of the said photos to the public?
Yours faithfully,
Steve Elibank

Dear Brook Adrian,
My request is now a month overdue. When can I expect a response,
and why do you feel that the Freedom of Information Act timescale
requirements to not apply to you?
Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr Brook,
I wish to request an Internal Review over the handling of my
request, primarily because it was submitted on January 20th 2010,
and only received a reply today (March 24th 2010). Not only is this
far in excess of the maximum period stipulated by the Freedom of
Information Act, but I have had to chase you at every stage of the
way; your organisation has given me false deadlines, little in the
way of apology etc., and I think that I have been treated poorly.
I would also like to note that the tone of my eventual response
(particularly this passage: "I would like to explain that the
Freedom of Information Act gives every person the right to ask for
information held. However, 'information held' means information
held in written or electronic form only. As this point does not ask
for information held in either written or electronic form but asks
for a statement, it falls outside the scope of the Act. However, I
can tell you that we would not release the high resolution
photographs held as they are for official use only,") was
un-necessarily curt.
I have to tell you that EVERY single other government department,
who each received an identically-worded request, not only provided
me with everything I requested without quibbling, but were also
able to provide me with high-resolution photographs of their
ministers. I cannot conceive of any reason that the Home Office
should be exceptional or special in this regard.
I look forward to receiving the result of my Internal Review, and I
shall expect it to address every point I have just raised.
Yours sincerely,
Steve Elibank
