Performance related pay for Investigators
Trevor R Nunn made this Freedom of Information request to Local Government Ombudsmen
The request was partially successful.

Dear Local Government Ombudsmen,
I would like a list of any and all performance related pay targets
you have in place for investigators. I would also like to know what
level of performance related pay they receive if they achieve those
targets.
For your information I have searched your website and cannot find
the information I require.
Yours faithfully,
Trevor R Nunn

I was told by an investigator that they recieve a bonus if they meet targets to complete a certain proportion of complaints withing in 3 months and practically all complaints within 12 months. This is why they try and close down complaints quickly and are reluctant to comeback on complaints. When they are forced to comeback, as they did in my case, they gave my complaint a new number so it didn't interfere with their bonus.

You know Trev - i bet i can find that pattern in there accounts. I wander if there is any link to the types of complaints and the averidge time wasted by the LGO.

If you receive a response which is more comprehensive than you expected, more than likely the authority is trying to hide something.

If the LGO was relying on performance related pay, most of the investigators would be on less then nothing. I wander what mechanisms they use to increase pay.
