Dear Sir or Madam,
How much money has been collected by CEC from Developers under the
percent for art policies since it's inception.
How is this money accounted for and managed? - which council
committee has responsibility for the management and accounting of
this money and are the funds ring fenced for discrete projects?
Has any money/contributions for public art been returned to any
developers or has the council agreed to cancel any agreements with
any developers with regard to public art contributions?
Yours faithfully,
julie logan

Dear Ms Logan,
Please see below for the response to your FOI request and three
questions in relation to Percent for Art policies and funds.
- The Council does not have a developer contribution policy regarding
Percent for Art. Therefore no monies have been collected under such a
policy.
- The Council accounts for, and ring fences any developer contributions
received as required by the relevant legal agreement. The management of
these accounts is delegated to Council officers. However, as there is no
Percent for Art policy there are no specific accounting procedures
relating to such a policy.
- In response to your third question the answer is no.
Regards
David Cooper
