Dear Sir or Madam,
Regarding the CCTV camera which you operate on the Red Route
adjacent to 29 Stonecot Hill, Sutton SM3 9HH, please could you send
me:
1. A spreadsheet of the number of PCNs issued by this camera,
broken down by month and by contravention code, since the camera
started operating. The spreadsheet should comprise a grid with
contravention codes along one side, months/years along the other
and a quantity in each cell for the number of PCNs issued in that
month for that contravention code.
2. A spreadsheet of the number of PCNs issued by this camera,
broken down by month and by operator, since the camera started
operating. There is no need to identify the operators by name, a
number or other unique identifier will be sufficient. The
spreadsheet should comprise a grid with operator IDs along one
side, months/years along the other and a quantity in each cell for
the number of PCNs issued by that operator in that month.
3. A copy of your guidance to and/or policy for camera operators.
Please could you send this information by email. Spreadsheets
should be in Excel or OpenOffice format.
If you are unable to complete any part of this request, please do
what you can and contact me to clarify the remainder.
Thank you.
Yours faithfully,
Adrian Short

Dear Mr Short
Thank you for your email received by TfL on 27 August 2009. You asked for
information about the CCTV camera adjacent to 29 Stonecot Hill, Sutton.
Your request has been considered under the requirements of the Freedom of
Information Act. TfL is unable to provide details of all PCNs which have
been generated by a specific camera, however, we do record the amount of
PCNs which have been generated at a specific location.
The attached spreadsheet provides details of all the PCNs issued at the
various locations on Stonecot Hill along with details of the relevant
camera operator. Please note, there are two tabs and the tables are pivot
tables so the information can be filtered by location.
In respect of Question 3 regarding policy advice for TfL's camera
operators, there are numerous policies and procedures which our camera
operators follow. In order for us to provide you with the most useful
information, please could you clarify the information you require.
If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable
to access it for some reason, please contact Gilmore Barrett,
Correspondence Support Manager - London Streets, on
[1][email address] .
Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would
like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.
Yours sincerely

Dear enquiries (ST) - Legacy,
Thank you for your response and request for clarification.
Presuming that the camera operators and traffic wardens on the
street are two distinct groups of people, can you separate the PCNs
issued by each group at the given location so it's clear which ones
were issued by operators of that camera?
Regarding the policy advice for camera operators, please send
everything you think may be relevant and I'll ignore anything that
doesn't interest me. As a guide, please send me every document that
a new camera operator would be expected to read before starting to
operate a camera to issue PCNs.
Yours sincerely,
Adrian Short

Dear enquiries (ST) - Legacy,
There is only one CCTV camera on Stonecot Hill. It wasn't clear
from your first response that the PCN figures you sent were from
wardens and camera operators or just from camera operators. Thank
you for clarifying this.
The other material about the CCTV operators' guidance is perfectly
adequate.
Thank you for answering this request in full.
Yours sincerely,
Adrian Short
