The Newt survey was done, it is attached on the website but it is referred
to as 'Amphibian' survey and conducted by TEP.

The minutes of PEAR TREE GREENS COMMITTEE held 23 July 2009 refer
to a cost of £17.770 - can you confirm if this has been spent, or
not?

The Amphibian Survey is freely available to the public on the website, to
view or print off.

Minutes 23/7/09 - "Consider the survey and the mitigation costings - The
Committee had considered the survey and the mitigation costings and it was
understood that before any/all works were to be carried out on the fields
the mitigation measures would cost in the region of £17,700 (today’s price).

This would only be a one off if all the works to the fields were done at one
time. If the project was done in two halves then this mitigation would have
to be carried out twice and so cost twice."

The £17K costs refer to the mitigation stage - as it says above, highlighted
in red, this is the stage at which any contract work is required on the
land such as drainage, car park creation etc and so would not be spent until
planning permission is gained, ownership handed over and funds raised for
the project.

My question actually was how much did the Amphibian Survey cost the
Parish Council to commission?

Sorry for the confusion.

The TEP work, which was for the Ecological Assessment, habitat and amphibian
works and in total was £2361.60 inc vat.
