Environmental and Operational
This is the breakdown of Job Evaluation scores for the Environmental and
Operational job family. More information about the scheme and the factors
it contains can be found in the [2]Job Evaluation - in Detail section.
Generic role profiles have been used to describe what is expected from
jobs of a similar nature. We have used the allocation process to determine
the correct profile for each job. Generic Profiles do not however take
account of the situation in which the jobs are done, such as working in
unpleasant surroundings, exposure to noise etc.
In order to recognise these important elements, we evaluated each job
against those factors in the GLPC JE scheme that look at working
condition, physical demand and working context.
The combination of the score for the generic allocated role profile and
the score for the individual job working conditions factors gives the
total JE score that is what is used to determine the grade.

Dear Mr Cresswell
Please find attached a copy of the response that was sent by Sarah
Dale to your request for information on December 9th, about the job
evaluation for the post E03.5S. Sarah emailed the response on
December 10th (1524), so I am not sure why it hasn't appeared on
the What Do They Know website.
If you have any queries about this request you can either contact
myself or Sarah Dale to discuss further.

Dear Mark Jones,
I indeed did receive a reply in December to my request but it did
not contain the information that I requested. I was given the link
to a page on our intranet that contains information that I had
already accessed, but not the specific information I need to attend
an appeal
Yours sincerely,

From: Dennis Cresswell
11 February 2010
Dear Dale Sarah ,
Thank you for the information you have sent. I already have this
info from the intranet and it has proved useful, but not
conclusive. In order to minimise wasted time I would require the
"scored individually" information for Physical demands, working
conditions and work context so that I can verify my appeal
correctly. Without the information I would have to request a
further interview at a later date as I would be unable to collate
and understand these scores in a very short time therefor wasting
my time and the appeals officers time, not to mention the extra
interviews that would be needed.
Look forward to your reply
Yours sincerely,
Dennis Cresswell
