Dear Sir or Madam,

The Government appears to have an advisor called Mr Abhay Lakahni
who is referred to as: Parliamentary Advisor on Community Issues.

I should be grateful if you can revert back with your responses to
the following questions:

a. When was Mr Lakhani appointed and by whom?
b. What is the specific role of Mr Lakhani ?
c. Is this a paid position? If so, how much?
d. If not - what is the actual designation of the said position?
e. Have expenses been claimed by Mr Lakhani ? If so, for each of
the years he has been appointed, please confirm all his claims.
f. Has Mr Lakhani made any overseas visits on behalf of the
Government (either directly or indirectly)? If so, for each of the
years he has been appointed, confirm the full extent of each visit
and the reasons.
g. Since his appointment, what has Mr Lakhani done practically that
can be considered in line with his title of Parliamentary Advisor
on Community Issues?
h. How is this position related to the DCLG unit that deals
directly with Community Cohesion?
i. Does the Government have any other similar positions? If
so,please name each and the post holder and the same details as
raised in the questions above.
j. Has Mr Lakhani taken part in any Government led initiative?
k. Has Mr Lakhani represented the Government in any capacity?
l. Has Mr Lakhani attended any event at the HoC?
m. Has Mr Lakhani used any of the House of Commons stationary for
his own use?
n. Does Mr Lakhani have security clearance and passes to enter any
Government establishment including the HoC?

The last example I have of his involvement is in
relation to an event that was organised jointly by him and Tony
McNulty MP in the House of Commons on 15th October 2009 (members
dining hall).

Yours faithfully,

K Dudakia
