Typo in the name - should be Lakhani. I'd like to say I'm surprised that the Cabinet Office Freedom of Information Team are incapable of doing a Google search, but they seem to be pretty incompetent!

Dear Sir or Madam,

I have a letter in front of me in which it states that Mr Abhay
Lakhani - and I quote, is a 'Parliamentary Advisor on Community
Issues'. He is therefore either a representative of the Government
in some way, or, he is misrepresenting his position to the public
at large - in both cases one would wish to know what the actual
truth might be. The last example I have of his involvement is in
relation to an event that was organised jointly by him and Tony
McNulty MP in the House of Commons on 15th October 2009 (members
dining hall).

Your reply, though incomplete, is still very interesting. I should
be grateful if you can further investigate and confirm if such a
person has ever:

a. Taken part in any Government led initiative?
b. Represented the Government in any capacity?
c. Attended any event at No 10?
d. Has used any of the House of Commons stationary for his own use?
e. What is his connection with the Ex Minister, Tony McNulty? And
has this connection ever been abused in anyway?

I am sure you will appreciate why this has now become a very
important issue and that I may trust your indulgence to expedite
the matter.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

K Dudakia
