Dear Sir or Madam,
Please provide the number of vehicles which pay for WCC parking per
day for each day over the last six months
Due to each parking permit being registered by registration number
I am sure you will have exact figures, and as each cost will be
either a set daily fee for motorcycles or a variable fee for cars,
please also provide the separate figures for motorcycles and cars
Please include residents permits (assume residents park each and
every day) and WCC employees free parking permits in these figures
Yours faithfully,
Graham

Dear Sir,
In order to complete this response, it will be necessary for you to
clarify your request:
As you have stated in your request there is a large variety of vehicles
paying for parking in Westminster each day and in different ways.
Therefore, the scope of your request is too vague and the scope too
wide.
Please provide more specific questions, which may be addressed.
Yours sincerely,
A Daly

Dear Daly, Andrew,
Sorry, are you really saying that Westminster Council have no idea
how many vehicles pay to park in Westminster each day?? I find that
VERY hard to believe. Your Parking Enforcement Officers would know
immediately if any vehicle was parked illegally and yet you claim a
request like this is "too vague"
I suggest you talk to your IT department, or the IT Department at
Verrus as they will be able to provide this information very easily
Failing that, I am sure your Finance department could provide
details of the amounts they received for parking during this period
Yours sincerely,
Graham

Dear Sir or Madam,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of
Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Westminster City
Council's handling of my FOI request 'Parking figures'.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is
available on the Internet at this address:
http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/pa...
You have rejected my requests on the grounds that the aggregated
costs are above the “appropriate limit” of £450
4430 – number of vehicles paying to park in Westminster each day
4461 – repainting of motorcycle parking bays
4484 – copies of consultation documents re parking charges for
motorcycles
4507 – damage to motorcycles while parked in WCC bays
Please could you explain on what grounds these 4 requests were
aggregated together? None of the information requested is the same
or overlaps in any way
Your letter states “This is because you have submitted 10 requests
in the past 60 working days for the same or similar information. We
have, therefore aggregated the costs of providing you with
information on previous requests with the costs of responding to
the requests above and this will exceed the “appropriate limit” as
stated in the Freedom of Information (Fees and Appropriate Limit)
Regulations 2004”
Please can you explain how the requests you have aggregated relate
in any way to the same or similar information?
In fact none of these requests relates in any way to the same or
similar information to ANY of the requests I have made
I would hate to think that WCC are deliberately trying to avoid
providing the information they are legally bound to provide by the
FOI act, and I can only hope this is an administrative error on the
part of WCC – and one that will be rectified immediately by
providing the information I have requested
Yours faithfully,
Graham
