Dear Sir or Madam,

On page 10 of your Annual report (2008 - 2009) you state that Jerry
White: 'retires after more than 14 years in post at the end of
September 2009, when he will take up the position of Professor in
Modern London History at Birkbeck University of London.

Jerry White was successful in securing paid employment at Birkbeck
College in 2006 as a Senior Research Assistant please provide a
copy of the authorisation for Jerry White to take up this position,
several years prior to his appointment as a Professor in Modern
History at Birkbeck.
