Outline Planning Consent for the Moor Lane Site in 2006

Nigel Leeming made this Freedom of Information request to Woking Borough Council

The request was successful.

From: Nigel Leeming

19 April 2009

Dear Sir or Madam,

In 2006 WBC 'went for it', in the words of Ray Morgan, to rush
through a planning application for outline consent to build on the
Moor Lane site, to gain PFI funding.

How many planning notices were issued to local residents, and how
many complaints were received at the time.

Yours faithfully,

Nigel Leeming

Dear Sir,

As these requests relate to information in respect of a planning
application, they are dealt with under the Environmental Information
Regulations rather than the Freedom of Information Act.

The plans associated with the planning application in question are in the
public domain and can be viewed at:

[1]http://caps.woking.gov.uk/publicaccess/t...

I attach a word file of the list of neighbours consulted as requested.

I also attach a copy of the Committee report - you will note that 24
letters of representation were reported. A further 5 `late'
representations were verbally reported to the Committee.

I trust this is of assistance.

Regards

Dan Freeland

East Area Team Supervisor
