Dear Mr Robinson

Request for clarification

Reference number: 70531

Thank you for your email dated 13 March 2009 requesting: ' IN THE LIGHT
OF THE FOLLOWING, WILL YOU EXPLAIN HOW WHAT YOU SAY MEETS THE
REQUIREMENTS OF THE FOIA'.

We believe the information provided to you on 9 March 2009 by us
constitutes a response under the FOIA, you may also be aware the seeking
of opinions or similarly explanations does not fall within the scope of
FOIA. Additionally our response simply repeats information provided to
you in letters from us dated 12 February 2007 and 1 March 2007 (Ordnance
Survey reference 61690), therefore we will not be responding in this
instance.

Please be aware that in line with the guidance provided by The
Information Commissioner on section 14 of FOIA, we have taken into
account the multiple requests made to Ordnance Survey by you relating to
the subject of 19 Lime Grove, Sefton (to date 13 requests and 4 Internal
reviews) since 2006. In particular we refer to the volume, long running
nature and frequency of these requests plus the burden of time spent and
distraction to normal work in those areas concerned with responding to
you, because of this we will consider any further communications to be
'Vexatious and repeated' and whilst noting your requests will make no
further effort on our part to respond to them.

Please note that your enquiry has been processed to Freedom of
Information guidelines. If you are unhappy with our response, you may
raise an appeal to our Appeals Officer at:
Customer Service Centre

Romsey Road
SOUTHAMPTON
SO16 4GU

Please include the reference number above. The Appeals Officer will
ensure that the process has been followed correctly, questioning any
decisions taken regarding the original response and recommending
disclosure of additional information if appropriate.

Thank you for your enquiry.

Your sincerely
