Dear Sir or Madam,

Could you please provide a copy of the DWP "Open Learning pack –
Diversity and Equality – Legislation Changes 2006/2007.", and any
updates to this document that may have occurred since 2006.

Please provide the document in Acrocat PDF format.

For your assistance I am seeking the documents referred to in the
DWP Managers’ Updates of October 2006 and November 2006.

October 2006;

"Delivering the Values through our people
Diversity and equality learning
Managers need to start considering now how mandatory learning to
comply with changes in diversity legislation is to be achieved in
their area within the following timescales:
• people whose job roles mean they have responsibility for dealing
with customers who have specific diversity needs, such as
disability employment advisers and IB personal advisers, must
complete the learning before the beginning of December, and
• everyone else must undertake the learning by the end of March
2007.
The learning has been kept short in order to lessen the impact on
operations, plus it has been designed to be picked up and put down
so that it can easily fit around other duties. A further
communication will be issued in the coming weeks to explain how to
access the Open Learning pack – Diversity and Equality –
Legislation Changes 2006/2007.
Further information will also be included in this month’s TeamTalk.

Last month’s Managers’ Update featured the mandatory learning to be
undertaken throughout our organisation to comply with the changes
in diversity legislation:
• people whose job roles mean they have responsibility for dealing
with customers who have specific diversity needs, such as
disability employment advisers and IB personal advisers, must
complete the learning before the beginning of December, and
• everyone else must undertake the learning by the end of March
2007.
Managers should ensure that any member of their teams who has not
already done so completes the Open Learning pack – Diversity and
Equality – Legislation Changes 2006/2007, modules 1 and 2 by the
appropriate deadline."
