Dear Sir or Madam,

Has the ONS been exempted from FOI request Law's ?

I note that ONS seem to ignore requests for information!

Is this lawful?

Below is a link to an ignored request to ONS.

Information Commissioner’s Office

Dear Mr Trice

Thank you for this and your previous email concerning your FOI request
to the ONS.

Your initial email was referred to the Internal Compliance Team because
it was taken to be an FOI request to the Information Commissioner's
Office. However I note that it is really an enquiry about the
application of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to the ONS.

I note also, from your second email, that you have now received a
response from the ONS. Nevertheless, if you are in any way unhappy with
the manner in which the ONS have dealt with your request, and wish to
make a formal complaint about this, you may do so by completing the
Freedom of Information complaint form
http://www.ico.gov.uk/upload/documents/l...
rms/foieir_complaints_form.doc

I hope this provides you with the information you require but please do
not hesitate to contact me again if I can be of further assistance.

Yours sincerely
